Origami Sunflower How to Make an Origami Sunflower Easy
Spring, barely having begun, is nearing completion. But do not be upset - in the arsenal of origami there are many rainbow-colored summer compositions. And I start, I think, with the warm summer smile of the first sunflower, faithfully meeting the dawn.
1. To work, you need two-sided printer paper of orange (or yellow) and green color, one-sided black paper, glue and a thin wooden skewer or knitting needle. A sunflower consists of two layers of petals with 8 petals each. The size of the original square for the petal is 4x4 cm.
2. Bend the square diagonally. Bend the lower and upper corners to the middle line of the fold.
3. Turn over, bend the sharp corner to the middle of the petal (for accuracy, you can bend against the light - the sharp corner should be at the junction of lines on the other hand). Flip over.
4. Bend the lower right corner as far as possible. One petal is ready, there should be 8 such elements.
5. The corner bent to the side is glued, we connect the two elements by applying a second petal to the glued surface of the corner. We glue the next bent corner, attach the elements one at a time, end to end, without leaving gaps.
6. Having glued the eighth module, carefully close the circle. Petals should be horizontal. Repeat steps 1-5 for the second layer of petals (they may vary slightly in tone).
7. One layer is glued near the bent corners and we put on it a second layer. Petals layers should not match. We bend the protruding sharp corners.
8. From black paper, cut out a circle slightly larger than the size of the hole in the middle of the flower. We glue it from the wrong side (if we take the simplified version, then this can be finished)
9. We take a strip of one-sided black paper 3 cm wide, along the entire length of the A4 sheet, fold in half. Such strips need 5 pieces. We cut not very finely from the bend.
10. We wind the strip into a tight spiral until it reaches the inner diameter of the sunflower. We bend the cut strips as much as possible to the sides. Glue the middle of the flower.
11. For the leaves you need 2 squares 7x7 cm. We bend the square diagonally and bend the corners to the midline.
12. We bend the small upper corners by 2-3 mm. Turn over - the leaf is ready.
13. For the stem, take a green strip of 8x20 cm and wind it tightly, starting from the corner, onto a thin skewer or knitting needle. Glue the edge, take out the skewer.
14. Flatten the hollow inside the stem by 2 cm and glue it from the wrong side of the sunflower. Pre-prepare a circle with small cloves of arbitrary shape - sepals, glue the stem under it.
15. Glue the leaves. The sunflower is ready. It can be placed in a vase or used in a wall composition. For a large picture, flowers are best taken in different sizes and shades. The execution of the leaves may also be different. You can simply cut out the shape of the leaves of a sunflower, double it and gently squeeze it on the sharp edge of the iron ruler. An excellent background for such compositions is sezal grass.
The video course "Golden Sunflower" was created in August 2012 and included the paid course "7 Steps to Mastery in Modular Origami" as a free gift. But after all the courses were withdrawn from sale, I decided to put the Golden Sunflower course in free access.
With the help of this work, I managed to win several competitions and festivals: the first prize in the Golden Sunflower festival; Laureate of the regional festival "Craftsman Rus"; prize-winner of the regional festival "Minusinsk Tomato Day".
I wish you to achieve high results after the production of the "Golden Sunflower", to win in many competitions and festivals!
Please watch these videos to understand how they should look, how to make them and in what sequence.

And now I'll tell you in what sequence to make a sunflower:
- According to the schemes, collect all the sunflowers. You can choose how many sunflowers to make - one, three, five or seven.
- Make a stem (stem) for a sunflower.
- Cut large leaves and small leaves for the sunflowers themselves.
- Make a wooden stand on which all the sunflowers will be mounted.
VERY IMPORTANT! Watch all the video tutorials, they will help you understand the assembly process. And yet, you can change the circuit at your discretion and change the assembly process as you please.
All modules in 1/16 sunflowers. Yellow modules of different shades (light and dark), green and brown. The only thing I can't say right now is how many modules of each color are needed, but I know for sure that a lot is needed.
Now there will be a diagram of the middle of my sunflowers. Look carefully at the photos and read the modules. I inserted the brown modules in a chaotic order, without sticking to a specific order.
On this, we finish the main sunflower and begin to make petals.
This is where we finish making the middle sunflower.

For work, we need paper in the following colors: -black -orange -yellow -green -white -blue -blue Modules used A4 1/32.
We begin to make a sunflower from the middle - the first row is made with the long side outward (prs), the second - with the short side out (prs). I have 14 modules in a row, but this is optional!
So that the chain does not break, it is easier to collect three rows at once. 3rd row of barges.
4th we also do bfs. This is the core of the sunflower!
Getting to the edging. Between the black modules of the 4th row, which are dressed in the bosom, we insert a prong one orange module and fix it with two orange modules also a prone, as shown in the photo.
So do in a circle!
6th row-orange modules pr
We begin to make the petals of our sunflower. For each orange module of the 6th row, we put a column of three yellow modules on the prince.
The sunflower is ready!
Leaves do whatever you like. I got these. On the left is a blank, on the right is a finished leaf.
We need a stick for the stalk. I had ready greens for a garter of fresh flowers (bottom). If there are no greens, you can just paste the greens. paper. We thicken the top of our stem with paper to attach the flower itself (upper).
Here they are blanks for our stems.
I made a vase for the excellent MK Sal http://stranamasterov.ru/node/120116?c=favorite, just changed the color and made a little less rows.
That's how they look ready-made.
In my sunflower workshop, I put together two wonderful works: http://stranamasterov.ru/node/63092?c=favorite and http://stranamasterov.ru/node/168125?c=favorite. Thank you for the idea. Maybe my MK will help someone. If something is not clear, write, I will be glad to help.
